The discipline to write something is the first step to make the real. By writing down your goals can also give an overview and direction, it gives life some meaning. Every new goal, plans, dream, intention, and change produces resistance. Especially when you want to do something that you always thought you couldn’t do it. That can be something outside your comfort zone. Because it isn’t familiar to your brain, so it takes a while till you get used to the ideas such as your new goals. Every time you think or you set the goals, your brains give a resistance reaction and if you keep the attention with this resistance, it can only grows.
The new year stands before us, like a chapter in a book, waiting to be written. We can help write that story by setting goals.
I think it has become a sort of habit to have new goals at the beginning of each new year or to extend your old goals by approaching them in different ways. Because there are goals that can’t be achieved in a year or at once, for countless reasons, but also for as long as we live, we can never achieve enough goals. When we are creating/writing goals, it is important that we pursue realistic and achievable goals. Because you want to stay motived and positive about your goals.
When I have a plan or idea I like to write it down no matter how small they are because when I write it down it becomes something bigger than a plan it turns to goals. When I’m doing that I also like to have a mission, that helps me to get my vision in focus at the right place and it gives me the strength to not give up on my goals. When I write my goals down it gives me more perspective to life just by reading them, I get more wear on the importance of it.
That is why I think it’s important for me to write goals that are measurable because when I read my goals I also can measure them and I can compare them so I can be aware of what my development and what can obstruct me along the way. This way I can adapt my own development to my goals. Besides that, I like to write I also like to read my own goals in my handwriting. It gives me new energy and it challenges me to do more my best. I like to see my goals as a challenge because it gives the strength I need to challenge myself and gives me more power to extend my limits to reach unreached. Writing down your goals can become a habit.
Your goals are the road maps that guide you and show you what is possible for your life.
I have learned about goals and achievement, I also have learned that there are different ways to reach your goals if a door doesn’t open there is a window that can be opened. But my biggest goal last year was to bring my son on a trip to Paris and when I look back I’m still very proud that we experience to Paris together. Because it was his wish for a very long time and I can’t wait to make a lot of trips to a different country with him, so we can build memories for later.
What you get by achieving your goals isnot as important as what you become by achieving your goals.
When it’s obvious that the goals can’t be reached, don’t adjust the goals, adjust the action steps.
I hope you like it. Have a beautiful day and may God bless you above all your expectations <3
