Hello loves, welcome to the first chapter of my blog Herchapter.
In this chapter I will speak particularly of my passion with this African print and about my outfit. I’ve always had a passion for African prints, but I never knew how to style it. Back in the days it was very rare to see girls in African print clothes.
But obviously now things are much more different, the new generation of fashion designer and fashion bloggers are showing the world. That the African prints can be used for any occasion and can be styled in diferent ways. I still remember the first time I wore a blouse with African prints. That was in the first African fashion week, which was given here in Holland. On this day I wore blouse that I got from my dear mama, I wanted either to wear something African or something that represented my African roots. In this show I realized how valuable, fun and entertaining the African prints can be. I fell in love all over again, it reminds me of my mother and of every proud African woman out there. How strong and proud they are to wear a fabric with such value. Every time I see a person wearing something with a print Africa, it makes me proud and makes me aware of how valuable it is.
The look of today is very formal, this has to do with the style of the blouse. I wanted to create a sophisticated look for a formal occasion. This blouse has a beautiful print that enchants the eyes of those who look at it, but that doesn’t mean that the look can not be formal. I combined the blouse with black pants and a black blazer that makes the look more sophisticated and classic at the same time. For wearing a blouse with prints, I tried to minimize my accessories. And to fit the look I wore a pair of sandals that makes a beautiful contrast with the blouse.
My opinion about this incredibly and amazing print, is that it’s never surrendered by any other kind of fabric.
I hope you have enjoyed it, and feel free to leave any kind of constructive comment. Thanks for passing and I’ll see you soon.
